Communication Center in Zakopane

URBA architects is changing the capital of the Polish Tatra mountains. We will improve the transport between the PKP railway station and Kuźnice. In Zakopane, a Park&Ride car park will be built together with a railway and bus communication center and in Kuźnice, a transfer center at the lower cable railway Station to Kasprowy Wierch. The value of the investment is estimated to be over PLN 52 million, of which up to PLN 33 million will be co-financed from European Funds.

The project aims to revitalize the area around the PKP railway station in Zakopane through the reconstruction of the PKP railway station buildings along with the construction of the Park&Ride carpark in order to adapt them to new functions related to passenger traffic and the construction of an integrated railway and bus communication center.

The project has received funding under the Regional Operational Program for the Lesser Poland Voivodship for the years 2014-2020 in the scope of:
measures 4.5.2 “Construction of an integrated railway and bus communication center in Zakopane” (value of the project PLN 16,211,382.63, maximum co-financing amount: PLN 11,455,746,19)
and
measure 7.2.4 “Reconstruction of the PKP railway station buildings along with the construction of the car park in order to adapt to new functions related to passenger traffic” (project value PLN 16,499,403.13, maximum co-financing amount PLN 9,713.860.50).
